If you are looking for wifi in every room, fine dining across the street, or a world-class spa just a 15 minute walk down the road, you have found the right spot.
In the wintertime, hire a guide and ski from the top June Mountain straight to the chalet’s outdoor hydrotherapy tub. In years past, guests have been known to place beers in the snowbank surrounding the tub before heading out in the morning, making the return to the hot tub all the more refreshing.
Once the snow begins to melt, you can hike out the back door to Fern and Yost Lakes. In fact, Yost Lake is so close that Yost Creek flows through the grounds of the property.
Many of our guests claim that Yost Meadow is just as magnificent as world-famous Tuolumne Meadows. If you aren’t up for the hike to secluded Yost Meadow, Tuolumne Meadows is a 45 minute drive from the Chalet.
Tioga Pass, a the entrance to Yosemite Park, and a launching point for epic spring backcountry skiing and summer mountain summits (such as Mt. Dana), is only 27 miles from the Chalet.
And, if you are exceptionally fit, it is possible to hike from Yosemite Park to the Chalet in just one day.
